Light up the city of Manchester, amplify our collective voices and take to the streets and say ‘NO’ to sexual violence against women, street harassment, rape culture and victim blaming.
This creative, inspiring event is open to the whole community and will be full of colour, light and noise. The Reclaim the Night Manchester March will be lead by a self-defining women-only block, followed by a mixed block open to all genders.
The march will gather in Owens’ Park outside The Tower, Wilmslow Road, Fallowfield at 7pm. The evening continues with the Reclaim the Night FREE AFTER PARTY, a festival of the finest women talent, with live music, speakers, poets, community stalls, and awesome DJs till late – at Manchester Students’ Union from 8:30pm until 2am.
We’ll be there at the afterparty for Reclaim the Night Manchester, giving away books by some of our favourite women writers – so bring a book to swap, or just come by and grab one for free (we’d love any donations, but they’re completely optional!).
