Live in London? Love books and feminism and all the other thing that makes our collective For Books’ Sake hearts go boom? Then it’s odds on you’ll already know and adore Pamflet, whose salon sessions we’ve raved about in the past.
Either way, we’ve got an exciting giveaway guaranteed to get fashion, film and literature lovers’ hearts all a-flutter. Because Pamflet’s next salon, taking place at Drink, Shop, Do near Kings Cross on Tuesday 2nd July, features none other than writer and film-maker Amanda Mackenzie Stuart.
She’ll be discussing her comprehensive biography of the dazzling Diana Vreeland: Empress of Fashion with Pamflet editors Phoebe and Anna-Marie and answering questions from salon attendees.
As at previous salons, the second half will feature a bookclub element and the Pamflet hostesses will introduce a discussion of the glorious Flowers for Mrs Harris by Paul Gallico.
This 1950s fairytale charts the adventures of Mrs Harris, a not-remotely-humble charwoman who dreams of running away to Paris to spend all of her hard-earned savings on Dior couture. (Don’t we all?)
Tickets will set you back only £10.60 (which includes booking fee, cake and wine) and you can get your grubby mits on ‘em direct from the Pamflet glamour grrrls themselves.
And we’ve got two tickets to give away too. If you want to be in it to win it, all you need to do is send us an email with the subject line ‘Pamflet summer salons’ by midnight on Thursday 27th June.
