Tattoo Tuesday: Amy’s ‘Mischief Managed’ Tattoo
Here at For Books’ Sake, we’re unashamed in our undying love for everyone’s favourite teen wizard (for more on that, investigate our top ten reasons people will still be reading Harry Potter in ten years time).
So of course we were smitten by Amy Walker‘s first tattoo; a tribute to the Marauders inked on her foot, reading ‘Mischief Managed‘. Bit baffled? If you haven’t read the books or seen the films, allow us to explain:
The Marauders’ Map makes its first appearance in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and plays a pivotal role in several of their subsequent adventures.
A map of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry and the surrounding areas, it shows the whereabouts of everyone in the castle, but only if you know how to read it (altogether now: “I solemnly swear I am up to no good”)…
