Girls Get Busy

Girls_Get_Busy_Zine_Issue_TenWe first found out about Girls Get Busy late last year, when For Books’ Sake spent an afternoon snooping around the Salford Zine Library.

A feminist collective based in London, Girls Get Busy have just had their first birthday, and if you live in London, you can make your way along to their birthday party tonight, where there’ll a DJ set from Trash Kit, riot grrrl karaoke and cake.

Can’t make it? No need to fret. Monthly zines are available through their online shop, featuring all sorts of female writers, musicians and artists.

Want to show them some love? You can get a Girls Get Busy t-shirt or tote bag through the site, or follow them on Facebook for future events and submissions info.

Want to recommend a zine that we should shine a spotlight on? Tell us in the comments, or send us an email.

  1. Had a snoop on their online shop. I really want a Girls Get Busy tee! Very cool.

  2. Dan Holloway says:

I picked up Anna Percy’s zines at Afflecks and they are absolutely knockout. I’ll let you have my copies in March (or they might have copies at Three Minute Theatre)
