The Library in Koh Samui

The_Library_Koh_Samui

Have we died and gone to heaven? Or are we drooling over photos of The Library, a literary tropical paradise in Thailand’s Koh Samui?

In the past we’ve featured (and fantasised about) The Library Hotel in New York and La Belle Juliette in Paris. But for Asian adventuring, The Library is our favourite so far.

They’ve got a minimalist modern library unit featuring sea views and shelves upon shelves of all sorts of books, including fiction, non-fiction and illustrated art books. There’s music and films to be borrowed too, and a sexy screening room where you can watch them.

Then there’s the vivid red swimming pool, a nearby beach, and a restaurant called The Page (see what they did there?). We’re already saving up for our summer holidays. Now, who can we bribe to cover our air fare?

Have you been somewhere you’d love to see featured on For Books’ Sake? Whether it’s a literary landmark, a bar for bibliophiles or a library we’d love, we want to know about it. Tell us in the comments or send us an email.
