Eight Cuts Presents: The New Libertines in Manchester

4th Jan 2012

Eight Cuts, one our favourite independent presses ever (they’re the ones who publish The Dead Beat by Cody James and Penny Goring‘s The Zoom Zoom) are coming to Manchester, hosting a night of cutting-edge prose, poetry and performance at the legendary Affleck’s Palace.

On Monday 23rd January, bag yourself a place at Affleck’s beautiful brand new performance space, The Three Minute Theatre, for a line-up of literary luminaries including novelist and playwright Elizabeth Baines, début novelist Laura Jarratt, performance poet Claire Robertson (last seen making me rethink my sexuality position on blue alcopops everything at For Books’ Sake Presents: Books & Blues) and Manchester literary maven Sarah-Clare Conlon (last seen on For Books’ Sake telling us about Station Stories, Hidden Gem Press and Armistead Maupin).

Rumour has it that our own deputy-editor Alex Herod may also be taking to the stage. The one and only Dan Holloway will be presiding over proceedings, and best of all, it’s free. We absolutely can’t wait, and we’d love to see you there too. Coming?
