For Books’ Sake Wants Your Literary Tattoos!

Have you got a Dark Mark, Cheshire Cat, literary quote or other tribute to your favourite author inked somewhere on your body? If so, we want you to get involved in a new For Books’ Sake series that we’ll be launching when we return after Christmas.
After Contrariwise, one of our favourite literary tattoo blogs, stopped updating, we started having withdrawal symptoms. So we decided to start our own version, in which we’ll regularly showcase swoon-inducing tattoos with a literary bent.
Want to get involved? Email us with a photo of your tattoo (plus the photo credit details if applicable), and a few sentences with the lowdown of where, when and why you opted for your chosen tattoo.
Since we’re hoping to make it into a regular series, there’s no fixed deadline, and we’d love you to help us get the word out too. So if you know someone with some amazing ink, please pass this onto them. And maybe you’ll see them on the site soon…

It’s not exactly tattoos, and I’m sure you’ve already seen it, but Katelan Foisy & Mike Lala’s Lie & Indite project is the best literary body art I know http://lieandindite.tumblr.com/
Dan, THANK YOU. I am in love with this project now. Don’t know how I had managed to miss that! beautiful.
