Girl Reading at the For Books’ Sake Book Club

For Books' Sake Presents Remember we told you we were starting our very own For Books’ Sake Book Club? We’ve finally got a date and a venue sorted, so get these details scribbled in your diary:

From 7pm on Wednesday 19th October, we’ll be taking over The Horatia on Holloway Road (you might remember that in the past that’s where we’ve had our pub quiz and some of our Lit at Ladyfest Ten shindigs).

We’ll be chatting about Girl Reading, the début novel by Katie Ward which came out on Virago earlier this year.

Got suggestions for what we should read next time? You can chime in on the For Books’ Sake forum with what aspects of the novel you’re dying to discuss further, as well as recommendations for future book club choices.

Can’t make it on the night? We’ll have a hashtag you can use to get involved via Twitter, you can pipe up on the forum, and we’ll have a little write-up on the site afterwards so you can see what was said.

Coming? Tell us in the comments or RSVP to the Facebook event.

Jane Bradley
