For Books’ Sake Presents: Salford Zine Library Tour
Remember last week when we told you all about Salford Zine Library’s exhibition and film project? Well, here’s your chance to have a proper gander at all the publications and find out more from Craig John Barr, one of the archive’s founders!
At 3pm on Saturday October 22nd, For Books’ Sake readers can come along to Salford Museum and Art Gallery for a guided tour and Q&A with Craig. It’s free, but places are limited, so email us now to book yours! Once you’ve booked, we’ll send you details of how to get there and where to meet up (there are bus and train stations only a few minutes away, or if the rain holds off and you’re feeling spritely the walk from Manchester city centre takes half and hour).
I’m sure there will be lots to talk about after the tour, having seen such a wealth of self-published creativity, so we’ll be retiring to somewhere nearby for tea, cake and maybe something stronger (you know how it is when it starts to get dark earlier, wine o’clock comes’ round much faster!). So what are you waiting for? Get that date in the diary and tell us you’re coming… GO, GO, GO!
If you can’t join us for the For Books’ Sake event, the exhibition runs from 15th October 2011 to 29th January 2012 - check Salford Museum and Art Gallery for opening times. Let us know what you think if you do go; we can’t wait!
