Favourite book of all time: Too many to mention, but Three Men in a Boat and I Capture The Castle are two of them.
Literary pet peeves: Pretentious, rambling, opinionated novels that have the literary establishment drooling.
Guilty pleasure: All my pleasures are guilty.
Three favourite authors: Not favourites above all others, but longest lasting favourites - Ngaio Marsh, P G Wodehouse, Georgette Heyer.
Favourite fictional character: Archie Goodwin (from Rex Stout‘s Nero Wolfe books).
Other recommended reading: All Michael Jecks, CJ Sansom, Robin Jarvis, Elizabeth Goudge‘s children’s books, Simon Brett, Katie Fforde, Christina Jones, Jill Mansell (OK, the last four are mates), Paul Magrs (so’s he – whoops)…
