Being a bibliophile, you’ve probably spent many an hour pressing your favourite books into the hands of family and friends, eyes gleaming with insane zeal as you rave on and on about how far and fast they’ll inevitably fall in love with your most beloved book.
Half the fun of reading is sharing the love. After all, that’s one of the reasons websites like For Books’ Sake exist, as well as the premise behind initiatives like World Book Night.
But there are drawbacks to lending your treasured tomes so far and wide. Those cheeky and/or absent-minded so-and-sos who borrow books and then don’t give them back. The ones who tidy them away onto their own bookshelves and then forget all about them. Grrr…
