For Books’ Sake Presents: The Quiz Returns for Round Two!
Ding ding! Assemble the cleverest cohorts you can coerce into being on your team, because the quiz is back for a second round! We’re teaming up with the girls are and Le Cinema Des Femmes once again for an evening of interrogation on film, music and literature’s leading ladies.
The Virginia Wolves took first place last time, but will they remain undefeated champions, or have you got what it takes to knock them from the top spot? If you know your Marlene Dietrich from your Marilyn Monroe, your Patti Smith from your PJ Harvey and your Jacqueline Wilson from your Jeanette Winterson, then get Thursday April 14th in your diary, and you could scoop all sorts of prizes.
And if you didn’t make it along last time, don’t despair – you’re still welcome this time around. All you need to do is get a team together (maximum of four people to a team please), and email us in advance to reserve your place. Entry is only £5 per person, and there’ll be cakes, DJs and other fun and frolics too.
Doors from 6.30pm at The Old School Yard on Long Lane near London Bridge, and the quiz starts at 7.30pm sharp. Don’t be late!
