Breaking the Silence at Woolfson & Tay
8th Mar 2011
The celebrations continue tomorrow with our quiz, of course, but if you’re still after other ideas to keep the IWD flag flying, then toddle along to Breaking the Silence at independent bookshop Woolfson & Tay.
Taking place next Tuesday March 15th, the event’s being organised by Penguin Books and features three women authors discussing self-censorship.
On a panel chaired by Guardian journlist Homa Khaleeli, there’ll be: Sarah Blake, author of The Postmistress; Elif Shafak, Turkey’s best-selling female novelist; and novelist and Guardian columnist Naomi Alderman, author of The Lessons.
Want to go? It’s only £5, and you can reserve your place via the Woolfson & Tay website.
