Call for Submissions: Are You Sitting Comfortably?
Got the Monday morning blues? So have we. But you know what might banish them? Sex. More specifically, pondering about what you might submit on such a saucy, smutty theme to White Rabbit.
They’re the duo behind the Are You Sitting Comfortably? storytelling sessions, what they call “cosy evenings of cracking stories, cute cakes and comfortable chairs.”
Writers submit stories of up to 1,000 words on a given theme, and the best are selected to be performed by White Rabbit’s collective of actors, alongside their own stories written specially for each event.
Submit a sex-themed short story or film before next Monday 14th February, and it might be selected for their next Are You Sitting Comfortably? evening on Friday 25th February, in the 1950s-style tea room at Toynbee Arts Bar & Cafe.
Not based in the Big Smoke? The Are You Sitting Comfortably? events take place in Brighton too.
For more info about short story submissions or the live events, take a peek at the White Rabbit website.
And let us know if you’ll be coming along on the 25th – we promise not to make you blush too much!
