Storyville in Brighton
12th Nov 2010
Unless you want to feel our wrath, you’ll have already bought your tickets for tonight and this weekend’s literary shenanigans at Ladyfest Ten. But if you’ve bitten by the women writers bug and one weekend just isn’t enough, you’re in luck.
From Friday 19th – Sunday 21st November next weekend, Brighton Dome will be home to the Storyville Women Writers Festival, three days of events including readings, talks and workshops with iconic and emerging women authors from the UK, US, India, Africa and Sri Lanka.
Jackie Kay will be reading from Red Dust Road, Lionel Shriver will be in conversation about her latest novel, So Much for That, and at Saturday’s New Voices session there’ll be magical thinking, mental illness, dysfunctional families and obsession in performances from upcoming authors Emma Henderson, Justine Kilkerr and Emily Mackie.
For the full programme, have a nosey here. Tickets start from £6.
