Lit at Ladyfest Ten: The Final Countdown!
Alright, alright. We know we might have mentioned this once or twice already, but this is the last time until it’s all over. Promise.
From Friday, we’ll be taking over Highbury Corner to present the Lit at Ladyfest Ten programme, and we’d love you to be there too.
From Friday’s launch festivities featuring Cathi Unsworth to Saturday’s session with bestselling novelist Scarlett Thomas, to Sunday’s For Books’ Sake Poetry Showcase via a workshop on the history of women’s erotica and a sneering, safety-pinned punk finale with Janine Bullman and Zoë Howe, we’ve got the lot.
And elsewhere on the Ladyfest Ten bill, you’ll find everyone from MEN and MC Envy to Bidisha, Ruth Barnes, Tatty Devine and the London Rollergirls.
So if you’ve not sorted your tickets yet, sort it out sharpish. Advance day tickets start from £12.50, but they won’t be around forever.
And don’t forget that anyone we see with a For Books’ Sake t-shirt or tote bag during Ladyfest Ten will get some rather snazzy prizes, so make you sure you come and say hello. Bring your old and unwanted books along to the Travelling Suitcase Library too.
If you’re too far afield to make it along this time, don’t despair. We’ll be reporting back afterwards with the full lowdown and photo evidence aplenty. In the meantime, we’ll be in the corner hyperventilating as we contemplate how much there is still to do before Friday…
