Morph and Chas Bookends

If you were a true 70s or 80s kid, you’ll remember Morph. Made famous by artist Tony Hart on the children’s art programmes Take Hart, Hartbeat, and SMart, the little man made of red plasticine lived in a pencil box, was notoriously bad-tempered and wreaked so much havoc on set, Hart would usually end up rolling him up into a ball and packing him away. His white plasticine arch nemesis, Chas, appeared in later programmes and both spent every episode metamorphosing into various objects to get the better of one another. It was sheer entertainment. Although he was a miserable little sod, everybody just loved Morph. These Morph and Chas Bookends are a true testament to the duelling pair and you just know that as soon as you leave the room, they’ll be getting up to no good. Maybe keep pencil box nearby, just in case you have to stash them away for bad behaviour when you have guests. They’re £19.35, from Amazon.

Ha! Thank you for this. I just saw them in an old copy of Junior magazine, but they weren’t on the site they said they were. If that makes sense…
You’re welcome Keris! I absolutely adore them … are you getting some?
