Agatha Christie Jewellery by Jezebel Charms
When we featured this Agatha Christie typewriter pin yesterday, it was our way of celebrating the crime writing queen’s 120th birthday, which took place last week. We were going to leave it that, but inspired into doing some sleuthing of our own by Miss Marple and the magnificent moustache of Hercule Poirot himself, we took it upon ourselves to see what other Agatha-inspired items we could find. And as always, Etsy did not disappoint, with my personal favourites being the beautiful jewellery made by Jezebel Charms. These Death on the Nile earrings, featuring the cover of the 1937 Christie classic and two matching bristly moustache charms, will set you back $28USD (just under £18). To give you even more of an excuse to snap them up, the seller’s based in the UK, meaning P&P is only $1USD.
This Hercule Poirot charm bracelet comes with seven silver-plated picture charms decoupaged with the cover art from Christie’s tales of the moustachioed super-sleuth. You can customise the bracelet by selecting seven of your favourite covers, with options including Murder on the Orient Express, The Mystery of the Blue Train and The Adventure of the Christmas Pudding. As well as cubed beads and black glass pebbles, the bracelet is also decorated with an assortment of other charms relating to the books, such as a boat, pistol, scorpion and wasp. It’s $69USD, which works out at about £41.
Last but not least, these Murder at the Vicarage earrings include the classic cover of the 1930 whodunnit (which was the first ever novel to feature a certain Miss Marple) as well as silver pistol charms, the murder weapon used by the unknown killer. They’re $28USD, which again works out at just under £18.
