The Ladyfest Ten Postcard Project

Hot on the heels of our news about Wears the Trousers’ Ladyfest Ten zine, we’ve got yet another collaborative project for you to get involved in. The Ladyfest Ten Postcard Project launched earlier this week, and it’s all about the romance and nostalgia associated with physical post.
They want you to send them a postcard around the theme of ‘X’, which as well as being the symbol for correspondence-based kisses, also means ‘gift’ in Norse mythology and is the Roman numeral for the number ten, since this year marks a decade of Ladyfests all over the world.
Your submission can be text, photography, illustration, graphic design or any other format you can think of, just so long as it fits on a standard-size postcard. You can submit from anywhere in the world (the idea being to demonstrate the global reach Ladyfest has attained in the last ten years), and the journey your postcard takes is just as important as its destination.
You’ve got until 15th October to send off your submissions, and the cream of the crop will be exhibited at Ladyfest Ten in London in November. For full details of what to do with your finished postcards, check the Facebook page. Wish you were here!
