Despite this being a brave new world of apps, Kindles, iPads and all those sorts of newfangled techno-wizardry, I still have an undying love for the old-fashioned romance of the vintage typewriter. So this vintage typewriter lantern has me smitten. By day, it’s simply printed with an arty black-and-white photograph of an Underwood typewriter…
…But by night, turn it on and a secret message is revealed on the typewriter paper. Shown here with a quote by Edith Wharton, this can be customised with your favourite literary quote or any other secret message (but, seeing as it’s likely to be used as a bedside lamp, we’d advise against selecting anything too sinister).
