Salinger Saturday

This Saturday, ditch sweltering in the back garden for an afternoon of bookish fangirling and a highball cocktail or two. Luminous Books in East London will be hosting Salinger Saturday, an afternoon celebrating the legendary author of Catcher In The Rye. As well as 50s cocktails, you can enjoy Salinger-inspired art by illustrator Nicola Starr and rummage through books old and new – snazzy new editions of his work by Penguin Books will be on sale alongside second hand copies. Informal readings, music and the presence of like-minded Salinger obsessives makes this a must for fans of his.

Best of all, this afternoon of lazy literary chat is free! Just bring your opinions.

Salinger fangirling and a cocktail or two and I won’t be anywhere close by. I feel a little sad.

  2. Nikki-ann says:

Sounds great… Only I’m not in London!

  3. Oi! I bet Mr Gnoe wishes he could have been there! But it would have been a bit snobbish just to hop over by plane for the event, right? LOL

It would indeed! We’re based in London and didn’t even make it, so sounds like your excuse is much more valid than ours!
