Save the Date: The Lit at Ladyfest Ten Fundraiser
Grab the indelible ink and get this date down in those diaries in permanent marker. The first ever For Books’ Sake event will be taking place from 7pm on Thursday August 12th, at The Old School Yard near London Bridge.
Remember a while back, when we told you how we were working with the gorgeous grrlies from Ladyfest Ten to help put on the literary programme for this year’s festival? Well, just because we’ve been quiet about it ever since doesn’t mean we haven’t been madly beavering away behind the scenes. On the contrary, we’ve got a fantastic line-up of lady-authors all confirmed, and we’ll be announcing all the details about that very soon.
But in the meantime,we need to raise some pennies to make sure Ladyfest Ten is as brilliant as can be. So, on August 12th, we’ll be hosting a night of bookish shenanigans, including a literary pub quiz, a book swap, special guests, prizes, cheap cocktails and cake. We’ll have more information over the next week or so, but for now save the date, and we’ll save you a raffle ticket. And maybe a dance.
