If you live in London, make a note to meander down the sunny South Bank this Saturday, because Foyles at the Royal Festival Hall will be celebrating its fifth birthday with events, offers, authors and prizes aplenty.
For five hours, there will be pentameters from poet Laura Dockrill, illustrators scribbling five-minute masterpieces, and craft queen Eithne Farry (whose book, Lovely Things to Make for Girls of Slender Means, For Books’ Sake contributor Alex recently reviewed over at Domestic Sluttery) demonstrating five things that can be made for under £5.
Five lucky winners will receive gift cards worth £55, there will be 5% discount off everything instore, and the top twenty-five bestselling books at the Royal Festival Hall branch of Foyles will be on offer at £5 each. Bagsy us a deckchair and we’ll be there with bells on!
