Admitting it might lose me any and all cool cred, but I’m a complete geek for the Harry Potter series. Up to and including all sorts of obscenely graphic homoerotic fanfiction, and an assortment of ridiculously tenuous merchandise and memorabilia.
Add that to my distressingly obsessive stationery fetish (my logic being that at least it just makes me a dork, and isn’t a physically-damaging addiction like smack or crystal meth), and of course the creator of this Quibbler journal was always going to be onto a winner with me.
If you’re not a Harry Potter obsessive, perhaps I should explain that The Quibbler is the kooky wizarding tabloid published by the Luna Lovegood’s father, renowned for its crackpot theories. This version, by Celestefrittata on Etsy, is a cunningly-disguised blank journal inside a Quibbler cover, printed on recycled paper. So, if you want young children on the bus to think you might be a witch or wizard perusing the latest issue of your favourite magic publication, whilst in actual fact you’re simply admiring your own scribblings (or, if you’re me, amateurish and X-rated pencil drawings of Harry and Draco getting it on), it’ll set you back 12USD.
